Well well well my first event of 2018 and it was a good one!

I received a ping in my email asking me if I would like to come to the launch event of Vapiano Glasgow.

When I read this a little ding happened in my head “I know that name”, then I saw where it was located and BINGO! that’s where I knew the name from….I had recently passed and seen the signs it was opening so I said yes and added to my calendar.

It was time to head to the event…

First Impressions :

As I arrived there was a red carpet and balloons outside, which was very cool and I felt like a VIP.

If you know Glasgow this was where HMV used to be situated, and prior to that I believe was a hotel.

As you enter you pass the reception area, this I heard is where you will pay your bill at the end of the night (Vapiano correct me if I am wrong). Continuing upstairs I arrived and was greeted and given a glass of prosecco.

Looking about it was very very very nice, and tonight was very very busy.

The kitchen area is open and everyone can see the pizza, pasta etc all getting made by the chefs which is very cool and adds a really nice touch.

Time to find a seat..

The Food :

I asked a waiter about the plan for tonight, and it was just ask for drinks and they would bring food to us throughout the night….sounded good to me 🙂

On the table for us the antipasti was already waiting, this was very nice and everything was very fresh and tasty.

Next was the pasta, now we had 3 different types….tomato, pesto and mushroom. My favourite was the pesto pasta mmmm was so good. The others were very nice to, but I love pesto so this was my clear winner.

Due to me jumping up and down to take photos, and do a few live Instagram videos I missed the pizza rounds…….but finally I caught the attention of the waitress and grabbed some as this is what I wanted to try the most tonight.

Unfortunately again I was a bad food blogger and just went in for the kill with the pizza before taking a photo, but I can tell you the base was thin and the pizza I had was very cheesy and it was nice.

I would like to come back and try a pasta and a pizza or two 🙂

Overall :

The whole event was very good, we had good food, good drinks and also a DJ playing really good tunes from start to end.

One part near the end of the night, the manager stood up and thanked all the kitchen staff and waiters for tonight excellent service which was very true it was flawless.

Looking around everyone was having a really good time, laughing, eating and just having a really good night.

I cant comment on the cost as I was invited to this event, but when I return I will tell you what I think of the prices.

A big thanks to Vapiano Glasgow for my invite and you WILL see me again 🙂

Please do check Vapiano Glasgow out as I really cant fault anything tonight and am sure you will love the food 🙂

See you soon!

It was time to check here out as I am a big Italian food fan.

When you enter here you start of in a little Italian deli, where you can but meats, cakes etc. There were a lot of Italian cakes, meats that I was very tempted to buy but my stomach needed some pizza so I continued through to the restaurant.

The restaurant part looked very nice, and if you take a look about you will see a lot of nice decorations.

Time to eat….

The Food…

Fruitti di Mari Pizza £12.95 Salsiccia Piccante 2 £9.95

So as you can see there are two photos of pizza’s above, I am not that greedy I went for two. I ordered the fish pizza and my girlfriend took the Italian sausage pizza and we decided to have half of each.

I started with mine the fish pizza…

This was nice, the sauce on the pizza had more flavour than any other part of it which I was disappointed with…I moved on to the Italian sausage pizza

This for me was much much better it had the perfect sauce, flavour and was really really good. When I visit again I will try another one or just go for this one.

Portion Size : 5
Flavour : 3 (fish pizza) 5 (Italian sausage pizza)

Tiramisu £5.00 & Cappuccino £2.50

My first visit here was very nice and relaxing, I loved the atmosphere and looking around I could see everyone else did to.

Is this my favourite place for pizza? hmmm for me its a joint second with Mozza as Paesano is still number one.

I look forward to my return visit so I can try some more food.

Finally after a few months on my list to visit, and a lot of walking past I visited Little Italy.

From the outside looking in for me it looked kinda like a cafe more than a restaurant, but that might not be how it feels when inside.

On entering we were greeted and shown where we could sit, we had a choice of at the window, on a long bar like table or at a table. We opted for the long bar table, as this would give us a little more room.

Looking around its nicely decorated, and you can see the kitchen area and the chef’s making the food which is nice. There was Italian music playing in the background at a nice level, I think it was playing from a real Italian radio station as I recognised the DJs voice.

The Food…

Pizza 10″ Cheese & Tomato £6.95
Caramelised Onions £1.00, Goats Cheese £1.00 and Black Olives £1.00

I am very fussy when it comes to Pizza, currently I have two places in Glasgow I like for Pizza so I thought hey lets see how Little Italy compare.

This was very very nice!!!

I can’t fault anything about it the base was good, and the flavours were all there. I would now add Little Italy to my top 3 for pizza places.

Cant really say too much about pizza really, but as I have said already Little Italy is now in my top 3 pizza places as I really enjoyed it.

For me Little Italy felt more like a sit in cafe than restaurant, don’t get me wrong I had a very nice time and the atmosphere was good and so was the food.

I will go back and try a few more items.
