I was invited to the bloggers launch night for this relaunch, but unfortunately I couldn’t attend as I was in Italy at that point.

So I added it to my list to try and today I visited.

I had only ever been here once many years ago, so I had a rough idea of how it looked. On entering what a difference, the area looked much bigger and brighter and very modern.

I took a look outside as it was a nice day, I can’t remember if this is how it looked or this is now been improved but either way its very nice, and looked very relaxing.

The Food…

Afternoon Tea £N/A (used a voucher)

On arrival the presentation was very nice, another unique way to present the Afternoon Tea. Some places I have been to go for the traditional way, others have tried to be a little more modern just like to day….either way it always works.

The afternoon tea was very fresh, tasty and I enjoyed it very much. My issue normally is when it comes to the scones is it cheap cream or clotted (this is the better option to have when doing scone jam and cream) today was clotted which was excellent.

The revamp here for me looks really good, I was very impressed at how much it had changed and improved the look and feel. For me the outside looked much nicer than the inside, but thats only if you have a nice day in Glasgow to sit outside.

The service was very good today, and we got chatting to the manager who was very pleasant and helpful.

Another day another Afternoon Tea, I have been having a few lately….

This visit for Afternoon Tea was with a itison voucher, to be honest I feel that this Afternoon tea with the voucher is 100% worth the value for money. If you do see it on itison I would recommend you get it.

I was actually a little surprised with this one, as when the Afternoon Tea arrived we got two stands for some reason I thought we would just get one to share so this was a great voucher.

There was loads and the presentation was really nice. I have seen some Afternoon Tea’s served in a different area from where I was today, but I am glad it was here as this was very relaxing and I had a great view of the room and out the windows.

Overall I cant really say anything bad about today’s visit, service and portion size was good. The sandwiches and cakes were all fresh, and I felt very full after it.

Again if you see this deal on itison 100% go for it, as its great value for money and its really enjoyable.

Today I attended the Lomond Shores SpringFest17 event, and after working up an appetite we all went for dinner.
This was my first time eating in here, my parents and my friends parents have been a few times but for me it was the first so I was looking forward to seeing what it was like.

Starter :

Blacksticks Blue cheese fondue £4.95
with vegetables and toasted rustic bread (V)

I decided after being a little bit of a pig today at the event, I would try and have a slightly healthier dinner….yes I did say slightly.

This was a perfect size for a starter, it wasn’t too filling that you would start thinking “oh I might not finish my main”.

The blue cheese dip was very nice, could have been a little stronger for me but thats just a personal thing.

The amount of vegetables you got with the dip, it could have had a few more as there was still lots of dip left over.

Overall it was a good starter and I would have it again.

Main :

Broad bean and asparagus risotto £9.45
with roasted vine tomatoes and Gran Moravia cheese

For me this would have been a perfect risotto if it doesn’t have such large chunks of asparagus in it, if they were cute down to very small chunks it would be been really nice.

Overall todays meal was ok, if the risotto had smaller chunks of asparagus rather than the full thing and many of them I would have really had a nice meal.

I would go back here for dinner, and maybe try a few other items off the menu.
